 A suspected Nigeria fraudster, Adekunle Balogun a.k.a Malan Salihu, has been arrested by the (EFCC) Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, over fraudulent dealings involving the sum of $1million USD.

Former President Obasanjo, Others Shun Jonathan’s Second-term Declaration

The Former President Of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo & many others was conspicuously absent at President Goodluck Jonathan second term declaration for the 2015 presidential election in Abuja on Tuesday. Also absent was a former military leader, Ibrahim Babangida. Both are members of the Peoples Democratic Party.

There are speculations that President Obasanjo was against the return of President Jonathan because of the alleged agreement he (Jonathan) had with the leadership of the party, including the governors in 2011, that he would only be in office for one term, after completing late Umaru Yar'Adua's tenure.

500 Level FUT student Arrested & Say's He Joined Cultism To Fight Injustice

The 500- level computer science student of Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna and two others of his gang where  arrested by the Niger State Police Command for alleged cultism.The trio, according to the police, belong to Neo-Black Movement (NBM) a.k.a Black Axe.

The state Police Commissioner, Mr. Olusola Amore, said two locally made pistols, three live ammunition 9mm caliber, three axes and three pairs of fraternity uniforms were recovered at the spot of their arrest.

The 500-level student, who claimed to be the leader of the gang, said he was initiated into the gang four years ago to fight injustice and oppression in FUT, Minna and also get connected.He said..

”I have been in this gang for four years, but I have never fought against any form of injustice because our school, FUT, Minna, is calm.

My parents are in Lagos and still together but they are not aware that I am in this problem. In fact, I am regretting being in this mess,” the self-confessed cult member said.On his advice to other students, he said,” I don’t advise even my enemy to belong to this gang because there is nothing to gain from it. I personally am regretting now. Cultism is not good”.

General Overseer of   Latter Rain Assembly and Human rights activist/politician, Pastor Tunde Bakare turned 60 today November 11th and friends and family gathered at the church's headquarters in Ogba, Lagos this morning for a celebration service in his honor.

His church members handed him a cheque of N20million for his proposed renovation of the All Saints school in Abeokuta which is the first school he attended.

Guests at the birthday thanksgiving included Ogun state Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Ayo Oritsejafor, Oby Ezekwesili, Nasir El Rufai, Chief Olusegun Osoba amongst others.

The Nigerian business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who retained his position as the Africa’s richest man with a $25 billion net worth,he has held the position for the fourth successive year now.

Globally, the influential Forbes Magazine rates him on the list of 25 richest people in the world.

Dangote is ranked 23 up 43rd among the 100 richest persons in the world.

The Nigerian businessman with interests in cement, sugar, beverages and petrochemical is said to be presently the first black man to break into the rank of top 25 richest people in the world.

Mike Adenuga, owner of indigenous telecoms company Globacom, was next to Dangote on the list with a wealth of $4.6 billion, maintaining 325 position in the world, while Folorunsho Alakija, with $2.5 billion, was 687 in the world and Abdulsamad Rabiu ranks 1372 in the world, with $1.2 billion.

Meanwhile, Bill Gates is back on top after a four-year hiatus, reclaiming the title of world’s richest person from telecoms mogul, Carlos Slim Helu of Mexico, who ranked number one for the past four years.

Gombe State Governemnt Has Shuts Down All Schools In The State--Because Of BOKO HARAM

Gombe state Gov has shut down all school in the state following the recent attacks by Boko Haram members in the state, the Gombe state government has ordered the closure of all public and private schools in the state.

 Parents who took their children to school this morning were asked to take them back home following the directive by the state govt which was sent out to all school heads in a circular yesterday evening.

The Permanent Secretary, Gombe state Government House, Sani Jauro confirmed the closure to NAN but said it was just a "normal mid-term break for students".
